Your Favorite Posts of the Year

We at Grown in My Heart have done a lot of soul searching this year, a lot of writing, and certainly a lot of talking with each other. We know that not everyone can feel about adoption the same ways we do…and we ALL feel differently. It’s what makes the site so unique. However, in our first seven months here on the web we have grown to be large enough to be recognized and to be scrutinized. Sure, it was a given. If you take first mothers and pair them with adoptive mothers, surrogates, and adoptees and let them speak…someone is bound to listen, right?

But…how can we get you all to spread the word that we are here? Or how can we grow? What can we do better in the coming months and years to help you (ALL OF YOU) learn about adoption and feel more comfortable about visiting this site? Oh, I know that now every post is easy to read because some are hard for me too but doesn’t that all make us understand opposite view points? Doesn’t it make us all better people to at least try to empathize?

That said, you do read us and we do appreciate that. In fact, we love that you continue to come back and that you participate in the carnivals. Below you will find the top ten posts of the year…your favorite posts of the year.

  2. Dissolving an Adoption, a Call for Help (Password Protected)

I still think it’s ironic that the post “Dissolving an Adoption, a Call for Help” is now password protected but that poor child’s picture is still plastered there for everyone to see.
    Can you spell exploitation?
    Shame on you admins.

Seriously…why would you leave this poor child’s picture up for everyone to see? What is the point of doing this to an innocent boy?
    Please take his picture down.
