Panda Party Favor
This is a simple way to extend your party theme by dressing up a box of raisins, box of candy or small gift. For the example I used a box of raisins. When my girls saw this their eyes lit up and the bickering ensued! They both wanted to hold it! I chose a panda bear for the example but you could use any animal or character you want. We will be making these with Elmo faces on them for my youngest daughter’s birthday party.
Supplies:
- Small Box (Raisin, Candy or Gift Box)
- Stiff Felt or Craft Foam Sheets
- Glue (If using foam sheets use craft foam glue)
- Ribbon
- Scissors
- Marker
- Circle Templates (Plastic Lid, Tea Cup, Spice Bottle Cap…)
- Glue ribbon to side of box. See photo. Leave enough of a loop on top. Glue ribbon down other side. Trim at base.
- Find a circle you can trace that covers the front of your box. I used a biscuit cutter for the face and a small cap for the ears. Trace onto the stiff felt. I drew the eyes and nose free hand. Remember you will need two of everything! You will be decorating both sides.
Cut out pieces. Assemble and glue down. It is that easy!

That is adorable! It looks so easy, but I’m guessing that if you don’t get the shape of the cheeks right, it would look nothing like a panda.
