My boys are polar opposite. They hail from opposite sides of the world. One is habitually happy, the other walks a tightrope. One dances, one hits. One cuddles, one shies away.

But, that is what makes a family, right? It’s what bonds brothers…at least I hope.

They both inadvertently posed for the same picture before they left their homes and I was able to capture that. They are my favorite photos of the boys and we used them for their announcement pictures.

This one was taken just as we left the orphanage and I love the delicacy of it. He was watching the rain fall from inside the orphanage playroom. He was 26 months but he was so tiny…only 19 pounds. His hands were so little and his hair so fine. He was still such a baby but he had SO much fight in him.

Gus had just turned 12 months when we took an airplane to the states with him. He was the same size as AJ and looks just as discerning. Again, I love the little baby hands.
